Good morning L&A,
This is one of those early May weekends where the calendar starts to feel a little more alive.
Thanks to everyone who voted in last newsletter’s reader poll. The clear message was that readers want more upcoming events, so this week we’re leaning into exactly that, plus a local Mother’s Day idea and a few road notes worth knowing.
Reader Poll Result
Last time, we asked what kind of local content readers want more of in L&A Loop.
The clear winner: upcoming events, with 80% of votes.
So we’ll keep bringing you more local things to do, more dates to know, and more reasons to get out around Lennox & Addington.
Local Mother’s Day Pick
Give Mom a Little Time Away in Downtown Napanee
If you’re still looking for a Mother’s Day gift that feels more thoughtful than another last-minute card and flowers, Touch of Wellness in downtown Napanee shared a lovely local idea: a little time away to rest, relax, and recharge.
This Mother’s Day, you can treat Mom to an overnight stay in the Touch of Wellness Suites, paired with a spa day designed for rest, relaxation, and a proper recharge.
It’s a nice local option if you want to give an experience instead of more “stuff,” especially for someone who could use a quiet night away, a little pampering, and a break from being needed by everyone else.

Local Notes
Road closures to know about
A few temporary closures may affect travel around Greater Napanee over the next week:
Friday, May 8: Isabella Street West will be closed between Robert Street and Centre Street North from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
Monday, May 11 to Wednesday, May 13: Parts of Beechwood Road will be closed during the day for scheduled work.

House of the Week
366 Dundas Street W, Greater Napanee
$625,000 | 4 bed | 3 bath
This week’s pick is a roomy in-town home with plenty of character and a practical location right in Greater Napanee.
With 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and space to spread out, it has the kind of flexibility that works for families, guests, a home office, or anyone who has slowly accepted that “just one storage room” is never really enough.
The biggest appeal is the mix of space and convenience. You get a larger home without being tucked away from town, which makes this one worth a look for buyers who want room to grow while staying close to Napanee’s everyday essentials. View listing
That’s it for this week.
If you’re heading out this weekend, keep an eye on the weather, double-check event details before you go, and maybe leave a little extra time if your plans involve a ferry, a road closure, or small children near paint.
Have a great weekend, L&A.
