Costumes, a bookish find & room to tinker
Good morning, L&A!
There’s still a week until Halloween, but the costumes can come out early. Napanee and Odessa both have Sunday trunk-or-treat events, and Monday brings free PA-day crafts at the county museum. We’ve also found a local bookseller to meet this afternoon and a country bungalow with a workshop worth a look.
IN THIS WEEK’S LOOP
Two Sunday stops for costumes and treats
A bookish find in Amherstview today
A country bungalow with a Saturday open house

This accessible, non-scary celebration adds games and crafts inside the Palace. Enter from Wilton Road/County Road 6, bring a treat bag and leave the jump scares for another day.
Meet The Blushing Page
AMHERSTVIEW · TODAY, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24
2 to 7 p.m. · Evening Market, Loyalist Park, 133 Pratt Drive
Romance readers, here’s a local name to know. The Blushing Page pairs romance books with handmade gifts and says it will be at Amherstview’s Evening Market this afternoon.
If your idea of a good fall evening involves a new book, stop by for a browse and meet the small business behind it.
FROM LAST WEEK’S POLL
Markets led the way (again)
In last week’s poll, 67% of respondents picked a market and something tasty, while 33% preferred a fall hike or scenic drive. October outings don’t have to be all about Halloween. For the browsing crowd, today’s bookish market find in Amherstview offers a local starting point.
